Link Your Bank Account With Flinks

To apply for a Fig loan or update your payment method, you’ll need to securely link your bank account using Flinks, a trusted Canadian service that helps us verify your banking information quickly and safely.


When Will I Need to Link My Bank Account?

You’ll be asked to link your bank account in the following situations:

  • When applying for a Fig loan – This helps us verify your identity and financial information, set up your loan, and determine where to deposit your funds and collect payments.
  • When updating your payment method – If your loan is already active and you’ve changed financial institutions, you’ll need to re-link your bank account to continue with automatic payments.

You’ll be guided through the linking process step by step during your application or when updating your payment method.


Bank Account Requirements

To ensure your bank account is successfully linked and accepted by Fig:

  • It must be a Canadian personal bank account.
  • It must be registered in your legal name (the same one used in your Fig application).
  • You must have online banking access for the account.
  • During the application, we recommend linking your primary account (where your income is regularly deposited).

Please note: We cannot accept business, joint, or third-party accounts.

Flinks allows Fig to:

  • Verify your identity and financial information
  • Set up your direct deposit and repayment details
  • Ensure you can securely and smoothly complete your application or update your payment method

Having Trouble Linking your Bank Account?

If you’re experiencing issues linking your bank account:

  • Try logging into your online banking directly from your financial institution’s login portal to confirm your credentials are correct.
  • Check the Flinks Status Page to ensure your financial institution is operational.
  • If your institution isn’t listed or you're encountering another issue, please contact us at support@fig.ca and we’ll be happy to help! In some cases, we may be able to request that your financial institution be added or help you update your payment method manually.
