At Fig, we understand that unexpected financial challenges can arise. If you're concerned about a missed or upcoming payment, we're here to help. Our Resolutions team can work with you to explore available options and find a solution that works for your situation.


How We Can Support You

Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for one of the following support options:


1. Loan Payment Protection Claim

If you're enrolled in a Loan Payment Protection Plan, you may be able to file a claim for coverage of your payments in the event of:

  • Unexpected job loss
  • Illness or injury

2. Payment Deferral

Deferring your next payment can provide short-term financial relief and help you avoid a missed payment.


Please note: Deferrals are not available if your account:

  • Has not yet had its first payment
  • Is in bad standing
  • Has already been deferred within the last 12 months

3. Payment Arrangement

If you've missed a payment, you may be eligible to split the past-due amount into smaller, more manageable instalments. This can help bring your loan back into good standing without falling further behind.

4. Loan Term Extension

In cases of longer-term financial hardship, you may be able to reduce your regular payments by extending the term of your loan.


Important to know:

  • Extending your loan will result in more interest accruing over time
  • Once extended, your loan term cannot be shortened again
