If you believe you’ve been the victim of a scam, we recommend that you file a police report with your local authorities and contact your financial institutions immediately. They are in the best position to trace any funds that may have left your bank account.
Fraud can be a distressing and challenging process to navigate, and while Fig is limited in our ability to recover lost funds, we’ll do everything we can to support you through this situation.
Immediate Steps to Take
If you’ve been impacted by fraud, we recommend taking the following steps immediately:
- Contact your financial institutions right away. They are in the best position to trace or stop any unauthorized transactions.
- File a police report with your local law enforcement. This can be an important step for investigations and future protection.
- Update your account security. Change your passwords for any affected services and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) wherever possible.
- If your email account has been compromised, notify us immediately so we can help protect your Fig account.
To notify Fig of a scam or potential fraud on your account, please email us at support@fig.ca with as much detail as possible. Our Fraud team will review your case and do its best to assist.
