How do I connect my bank account?

Modified on Mon, 13 Mar 2023 at 11:55 AM

When applying for a Fig loan, you'll be brought to a screen where you're asked to connect your bank account via Flinks (our secure bank linking partner). Fig will use the bank account you connect to deposit your money and to withdraw your loan payments.

Here's a step by step guide that goes through how to connect your bank account:

  1. After you've picked a payment plan and click Continue, you'll be brought to a screen that says Let's connect your bank account. From here, click Connect your bank account

  2. Next, you'll be brought to a screen where you can search for your financial institution. Flinks works with all major Canadian banks as well as smaller banks and credit unions. Use the Search field to locate your bank

  3. Once you've located your bank, you'll be brought to another screen requesting your permission to proceed. After clicking Continue, you'll be brought to a screen that will ask you to login. Note, this will be the same login credentials you use to login to your online bank

  4. If you have multi-factor authentication questions set up with your online bank, you'll also be asked to provide answers to your security questions

  5. On the next screen, you'll see a list of accounts tied to the login credentials you provided, e.g. a checking and/or savings account. Select the account you'd like to use and click Continue

  6. From here, you'll be brought to a screen stating that your account has been set up successfully and can proceed to the next step of your Fig Loan application
